She got a certain satisfaction from using the hairbrush as it was meant to be used. She had half a mind to call him in to watch her little demonstration, but thought better of it. Best not to tempt fate.
Still, knowing what it had done- what he had done- gave a new significance and spice to this daily chore.
Acknowledging Imperfection 
The brush is a multitasker. It can be used to bring a silky sheen to her hair or a high-polish to her bottom. Either use and often both are useful in ensuring a girl knows she’s being properly looked after.
