I was having a girl’s day out with a good friend who had decided it was time to introduce me to the wonders of eyebrow waxing. We were about to enter the shop- on the threshold and getting in the way of fellow shoppers- when she stopped and turned back with a look of anxiety. “It will hurt, are you ok with that?” she asked.
In most circumstances, I’d consider this a friendly and thoughtful consideration. Warning of such unpleasantness is, in general a good thing.
However, as the friend in question was a fellow blogger and therefore well aware of certain aspects of my personality, I could only answer with a smile.
